Spring at the Sugar Bowl

Happy Thursday, my "Sugar" lovin' friends!! Welcome to my little corner of the world! It's Thursday, so that means it's time for another fun Sugar Bowl Challenge!! Challenge #79, to be exact. And our very talented Sugar Bowl DT Sweetie, Erika, has has come up with this clever little sketch for us to follow . . . .

And, our theme for this fortnight's challenge is . . .

SPRING!

Quite fitting, I should think, since the Daffodils and Dogwoods are starting to bloom here in Richmond, Virginia, USA! So, here's a little "taste" of Spring . . .

I chose this adorable little Sugar Nellie stamp called "Honey Pip." Honey is from the Sherbet Pips' Collection of Home Grown stamps, and you can find her HERE at Funky Kits! Seriously . . . what's more "Spring" than green grass, flowers, and butterflies?! Here's a bit of a side view . . . .

And another "side view," for good measure . . .

My card "recipe" . . .
Cardstock: Barely Banana & pool Party (Stampin' Up)
DPs: Miss Caroline Collection (My Mind's Eye)
Grass & fence dies: Doohickeys (Magnolia)
Sentiments: Tickets (Whimsy); inside (My stash)
Brads, pearls, flowers, & ric-rack (My stash)
Punches: Butterfly & Trellis (Martha Stewart)
Dies: Round & Scallopped (Nestabilities)
Copics & prismacolor pencils on Cryogen Paper

Here's a peek at the inside (the sentiment says, "Sweet April showers spring May flowers") . . .

I simply used one of the DP sheets so that I could add a personal note at some later date. And, here's one last view . . .

And there ya have it . . . my version of "Spring"! Now it's time to pop on over to the Sugar Bowl and take a peek at brilliant "Spring" creations by my fellow DT Sweeties. Then, come join us for this fortnight's challenge! One lucky participant will be randomly selected to win a fabulous prize from Sugar Nellie. Once again, our prize for this Sugar Bowl Challenge is . . . .

. . . . your choice of FOUR Sugar Nellie stamps
(increasing to SIX if we have 100+ entries!) . . . .

Remember. . . you can't win if you don't play!!

Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit. I hope you enjoyed my little card and that Spring is coming to "visit" you too! Thank you, as always, for your sweet comments! Hugs . . . until next time . . . .

Lovely rich colouring and pretty design, Pat. I see the lawn needs mowing! Or perhaps those green spears by the fence are daffodils just waiting to come out! Hugs, Lesley
