My Fave Mo "Make" of 2014

Hey there, my lovelies! Welcome, once again, to my little corner of Blogland!! And Happy Holidays!!

Guess what? There's another super fun challenge happening over at Mo's DP2 Challenge Blog!! Our challenge for this fortnight is for each of us to take a look at all the projects we've created in 2014 using one (or more) of Mo Manning's images . . . and then select a FAVORITE!! Whoa . . . that's a tall order! I love ALL of my Mo "makes"!! This card, though, is one of my faves! You may remember seeing it . . . just a few weeks ago, in fact! This is the card I made using Mo's "Fairy Christmas" digi set available HERE.

The following post first appeared here on my blog on 11/27/14. Enjoy!

*****
I used all three of the Fairy Christmas images and merged them! And then . . . I added lots and lots and LOTS of glitteriness!!

I decided to do something a little different . . . I decided to make a "Shadow Box" card (you can find an easy tutorial HERE) . . . but then I took it a step further and made my "shadow box" into an easel card!! (I needed more space for more and more and more glitter!!)
My card "recipe"
Fir tree die: Magnolia
Pearls & white cardstock: My stash
Embossing folder: Embossalicious
Heat & Stick powder and Dazzling Diamonds: Stampin' Up
Snowflake punch: Martha Stewart
Snowflake edge punch: Stampin' Up
Copics & color pencils

And a side-ish view . . .

*****
So . . . now it's your turn. But first . . . please head on over to Mo's DP2 Challenge Blog HERE to check out the fabulous 2014 cards made by my talented Design Teamies! Then, please join us! Just upload a fave Mo card or 3-D project that you created in 2013.

Oh, oh, oh . . . and don't forget, Mo is awarding (selected at random) one $5.00 shopping spree at her online store for every 25 challenge participants! What an easy and fun way to get some new Mo images, right?!

Okey dokey . . . that's it for me! Sending much love and joy to you and yours this holiday season! And . . . here's to a very safe and prosperous New Year for us all!! Warm hugs . . . until next year!

Hey everyone! Just a couple of week's until Christmas . . . and, as luck would have it, it's also time for another challenge over at Mo's DP2 Challenge Blog!! This fortnight's "host" is my talented friend and Design "teamie" Kim!! She'd like to see cards and projects made with . . .

"Kraft Paper"

Hmmmm . . . pretty easy, huh?! Here's what I came up with . . .

And another . . .

And one more . . .

I decided to make three small "kraft" cards using Mo's "Valerie in Winter" images!! They're precious . . . and super-de-duper easy to color/paint. I used Copic Sketch markers and colored pencils for these cuties . . . and, naturally had to add some "sparkle"!!  You can find this fabulous "Valerie" digi set HERE in Mo's online shop!!

And here's one more pic of all three little cards . . .

Now, I hope you'll pop on over to Mo's DP2 Challenge Blog to check out the fun projects created by Kim and the rest of my super-talented Design Team sisters! Then please join us for this fortnight's "Kraft" Challenge!!

"Amanda" Challenge at Mo's

Happy Thursday, y'all! It's time for another challenge over at Mo's DP2 Challenge Blog!! This fortnight's challenge is a little different . . . and really special. Our sweet and crazy talented DT sister Amanda Reed passed away quite unexpectedly a few weeks ago . . . she was in her 40's. Amanda was taken from us too soon . . . and, while she is gone, she is definitely not forgotten!!
As a tribute to our dear friend, this fortnight's challenge at Mo's is dedicated to the memory of Amanda Reed! And because Amanda loved cats . . . and because we all loved Amanda . . . Mo Manning has created a very special image called "Amanda" . . . so this fortnight's challenge theme will be . . .
"Amanda"
(Must usethe new "Amanda" image)

The new "Amanda" image is available now in Mo's online store . . . and will be available at a reduced price ($1.00) through October 16th. Mo is then donating all proceeds in Amanda's name to "Animal Friends" (an animal shelter near where Amanda lived). We hope you'll help us honor Amanda's memory . . . pick up this darling image . . . support a good cause . . . and join us for this fortnight's very special challenge!

Here's my "Amanda" creation . . .
I "borrowed" this cute card design from my friend, Dena. You can see her adorable card HERE. I thought I'd give it a try . . . easy peasy! And here's a close-up of this cute little "Amanda". . .

"Clean & Simple"

Well . . . since I just got back from a glorious 10-day vacation in St. Martin/Sint Maarten, making a CAS card seemed just what the "doctor ordered"!! But before I show you what I came up with, here's a pic from our vacation in "Paradise" . . .

Hey friends!! It's time for another fun challenge over at Mo's DP2 Challenge Blog!! And this time my sweet and talented friend and DT sistah, Amanda R., is our hostess! She's chosen the theme . . .

"Autumn!"

So . . . I thought that, since a colleague of my sister's commissioned two Halloween cards last winter, I'd focus on Halloween . . . since Halloween is technically in the "Fall" . . . hehe!! And here's a pic of my creations . . .which I watercolored using Sennelier paints . . .

We're going "Back to School" at Mo's!

Hellooooooo!! It's time for another fun challenge over at Mo's DP2 Challenge Blog!! And my sweet and talented DT sistah, Tracy, is our hostess for this challenge! And she's chosen the theme . . .

"Back to School!"

Timely, huh? Especially since kids are all getting ready to head back to classes! So here's my little creation . . .
This cutie is "Erasmus" and she's available right HERE in Mo's online store!! I just love her choppy little hairdo!! And those big ol' feet crack me up every time!! Here's a side view . . .
This is my very first time EVER using Inktense pencils!! I have to admit, I definitely need more practice . . . but I love, love, LOVE them! Instead of coloring directly onto the paper, as some artists do, I decided to wet the paper slightly and then pick up pigment with my damp paintbrush directly from the pencil tip! I seem to have a bit more control that way!! Next time I'll have to wet the background a bit more and then quickly lay down pigment to get a more even application!!

My Card "Recipe" . . .
Image printed on Strathmore 90# Watercolor paper
Always Artichoke & Baked Brown Sugar cardstock: Stampin' Up
DPs: "Sugar Hill" by Farmhouse
