My new best friend, Mr. Postman, just delivered a package from 7 Kids College Fund with some of the new Stampavie "Sarah Kay" stamps! Whoo hoo!!  So here's what I came up with . . .

This little cutie patootie is called "Bathtime" . . . isn't she just the sweetest little thing ever?! I have always loved Sarah Kay and, in fact, I have an entire curio cabinet filled with little wooden statuettes by Sarah Kay like this one . . .

Their faces are just cherubic, aren't they? Here's a close-up of this sweet Sarah Kay by Stampavie image . . .

Now . . . that gorgeous die is called "Polynesian Sails Oval" and comes from Cheery Lynn Designs! The cardstock is Pretty in Pink (from Stampin' Up). The roses come from Wild Orchid Crafts. Here's the rest of my project "recipe" . . .

And one last view . . .

And there you have it . . . my little version of "NOT a Card!" hehehe! No Embossing!

Ya know what I say to "No embossing," Miz Cathy? I say "No problem!" But wait . . . each and every design I came up with screamed, "EMBOSS ME!" Aaaackk! But alas, I did NOT give in to "embossing" temptation! I followed the rules! Hehehe!! Here's my little "non-embossed" card . . .

Now, this is kinda cool . . . our adorable 6 year-old granddaughter, Sophie, LOVES shaker cards! So this one's for Soph! I think she's gonna love, love, LOVE it! I do believe Sophie has saved all of the cards I've made for her. She has them all safely hidden in her underwear drawer! Hmmm . . . I'm not sure . .. is that a good thing? LOL!!

I digress . . . back to my card! This little darlin' is actually a Sassy Cheryl rubber stamp called "Lovely Lulu." You can find the entire Lovely Lulu set - along with this perfect little sentiment - at Kraftin' Kimmie's HERE!

Seize the day!

Have you ever heard the phrase "Carpe diem?" It's Latin...and it basically means "seize the day!" Well, this card is all about living for the day! Say what?! Yep . . . just wait for it! It will all become clear very shortly! But first, my card!

This little cutie is Tilda . . . and she's perched on top of her luggage . . . waiting for a Taxi maybe? I think she's ready to start a new adventure in her darling paper-pieced dress! Here's sort of a side view . . .

These DPs are from My Minds Eye, the Lost & Found "Madison" collection. The lace and roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts . . . and the seam binding is from The Ribbon Girl. Here's a peek at the inside . . .

I actually did almost nothing to the inside other than layering some of the DPs. That Eiffel Tower is part of the DP design. The only thing I did was add a couple of stamped images . . . including a fabulous sentiment quote by author and humorist, the late Erma Bombeck. Here's a close-up . . .

Fabulous sentiment, huh?! So, there ya have it . . . Carpe diem! Or, as I like to say, "Eat dessert first!"

And, last but not least, the "artsy" view . . .what can I say? Carpe diem!! hehe!

I've decided to enter this card into the following challenges:

And that's it for me, my lovelies!! Thanks so much for visiting . . . and for your sweet comments! They make my day! Hugs...until next time . . . .

Mama's Make-Up

Hap-hap-happy Thursday!! And you KNOW what that means, right? It means it's time for another fun challenge at Mo's DP2 Challenge Blog! Our hostess this week is the very lovely and talented Debbie . . . and my sweet little DT sister has chosen a great theme . . .

"My Sentiments Exactly!!"
(Use a sentiment)

Easy peasy, right?! Especially since I don't have to come up with an "original" sentiment! Hehehe!! So . . . here's my little card . . .

Now, this card features one of the cutest little Mo Manning images . . . she's called "Ella in Trouble." That scowl on her face seriously cracks me up! I can just imagine Ella saying, "What?!" Well, of course I just HAD to color Ella's fabulous self-application of her mother's make-up! I'd like to thank my sweet friend and Design Teamie, Paola, for giving me this fabulous idea! Thanks girlfriend!! Oh, before I forget, you can find "Ella in Trouble" HERE at Mo's online store. Here's an extreme close-up of a fun little "lipstick & nail polish" charm . . .

I decided to make another interesting shaped easel card using Go Kreate dies "Frilly Square # 3" and a Spellbinders Nestabilities "Labels #1" for the basic card shape.

Here's a peek from the back (sort of) . . .

My card "recipe" . . .

Mono = one . . . Chromo = color!

Well, well, welcome to Wednesday in my little corner of blogland!  Hope you're having a great week so far! Mine has been busy . . . catching up with cardmaking, housework, laundry, and other essential stuff now that I'm finally recovering from that nasty cold I caught from my sweet hubby! (Don't tell him I said that . . . I keep saying that it's not his fault! hehe!) So . . . guess what? It's time for another fun challenge at 7 Kids Challenge Blog . . . and I have a new card to share with you all. This week's challenge theme is . . .
Monochromatic!

Seriously? But, but  . . .  there are so many colors in the rainbow . . . and I really like using every one! Sigh! Oh, alright then! I'll follow the rules . . . sort of! Here's a peek at my "monochromatic" card . . . .

Why yes, it's true. Monochromatic would imply one color family! Well . . . I sort of went with a monochromatic, "black and white" photo looking theme!! What can I say? I just had to add a teensy little pop pf color! hehehe!! But it's mostly monochromatic, right? Let's just call it "artistic license," shall we? LOL!

Those fun sentiment tickets are from Whimsy Stamps . . . and that gorgeous ribbon is from Stampin' Up . . .

And the ever popular "artsy fartsy" view . . .

And there you have it . . . my version of a "Monochromatic" card! Now it's time for you to head on over to 7 Kids College Fund and take a peek at all the gorgeous creations by my 7 Kids Design Teamies! Then, pull out your craft supplies and join us for this fortnight's "Monochromatic" challenge #41 at 7 Kids College Fund!! And do you know why? Because there are fabulous prizes to be won! Whoohooo!

If you'd like to have this card for your very own,
I've just listed it for sale
in my ETSY Store HERE!

Thank you so much for visiting . . . and for your sweet comments! I'll be back tomorrow with another fun paper creation! Mwah!
