Mama's Make-Up

Hap-hap-happy Thursday!! And you KNOW what that means, right? It means it's time for another fun challenge at Mo's DP2 Challenge Blog! Our hostess this week is the very lovely and talented Debbie . . . and my sweet little DT sister has chosen a great theme . . .

"My Sentiments Exactly!!"
(Use a sentiment)

Easy peasy, right?! Especially since I don't have to come up with an "original" sentiment! Hehehe!! So . . . here's my little card . . .

Now, this card features one of the cutest little Mo Manning images . . . she's called "Ella in Trouble." That scowl on her face seriously cracks me up! I can just imagine Ella saying, "What?!" Well, of course I just HAD to color Ella's fabulous self-application of her mother's make-up! I'd like to thank my sweet friend and Design Teamie, Paola, for giving me this fabulous idea! Thanks girlfriend!! Oh, before I forget, you can find "Ella in Trouble" HERE at Mo's online store. Here's an extreme close-up of a fun little "lipstick & nail polish" charm . . .

I decided to make another interesting shaped easel card using Go Kreate dies "Frilly Square # 3" and a Spellbinders Nestabilities "Labels #1" for the basic card shape.

Here's a peek from the back (sort of) . . .

My card "recipe" . . .
Image printed on Cryogen White Paper
Cardstock: Whisper White  & Blushing Bride (Stampin' Up)
DPs: Li'l Primrose Paper Pad (Kaiserkraft)
"Adorable" sentiment on front (Stampin' Up)
Sentiment on tag: Stash
Roses: Wild Orchid Crafts
Scrolls & Tag dies: Magnolia Doohickeys
Square Nestie: Spellbinders
Labels #1 Nestie: Spellbinders
Ribbon, charm, pearls: my stash
Copics
Prismacolor pencils

And, one last view . . .

So . . . there ya go!! Be sure to pop on over to Mo's DP2 Challenge Blog HERE to check out the absolute gorgeousness created my talented Design Teamies!! Then, please join the fun this week at Mo's DP2 Challenge Blog! Just remember to use one (or more) of Mo Manning's images (you can find them in Mo's online stores HERE and HERE) . . . and follow this week's theme: "My Sentiments Exactly." Ooooh . . . and don't forget . . .  Mo is giving away one $5.00 shopping spree at Mo's online stores for every 25 entries! (selected by Random.Org, of course).

If you'd like to have this cute card for your very own,
I've just listed it for sale
in my ETSY Store HERE!

Thanks so much for stopping by . . . and for your sweet comments! Hugs...until next time!

Adorable is an understatement, not only do I love the shape of this card, but I love her makeup application as well OMG!!! I remember getting into my mothers as a kid and getting into all kinds of trouble (I heard my Mom coming and new I was going to get in trouble and threw it in the washer. When my Mom did the wash the lipsticks melted and my Dad had pink underwear for months). This is just Fantastic. I love everything about this. You Go Girl...Enjoy class later

Confession time! I raided my Mum's make up, but decided to give her prize teddybear a make-over - his eyes were a beautiful shade of green and when I got caught my bum, was erm red!! Oh boy I was in the dog house that day!!
Love the card and the memories it stirred!!

I LOVE your card, it make brought back such happy memories of when my daughters were young and how they loved playing with make-up. They're in their 20s now and still love make-up but they do a much better job applying it now. LOL
