That way my card can be "sweet" even though embellies have been kept to a minimum! So . . . here's what I came up with . . .

I broke out my Caran d'Ache and Faber-Castell colored pencils for this cutie . . . over a base of Copics. What fun!! Here's a side-ish view . . .

Sugar Nellie DT - "Artistic Goddess"

Happy Monday, my lovelies! Hope you all had a beautiful weekend. I spent both Saturday and Sunday in my fave room of the house . . . my studio, of course! hehe!! I can't believe it's already time for me to show you my newest Sugar Nellie DT project. Now, before I show you my latest creation, I just have to say that I went a bit overboard with embellies! Let's just say . . . I was REALLY an "artistic goddess" this week!
This is one of Krista Smith's "Simply Sassy" images created exclusively for Sugar Nellie. Her name is, "Artistic Goddess" . . . and I do believe she was my very FIRST "Simply Sassy" stamp. I just love her facial expression . . . and funky specs! And, ohhhh, that hair! What fun!! "Artistic Goddess" is available HERE at Funky Kits.

I colored this cutie with the following Copics:
Skin: E21, 00, 000, 0000
Cheeks: R30 & R20
Hair: E25, 23, 21, 50, 15, YR21 & 20
Eyes: G46, 43, 40
Purples: V28, 25, 22, 20, 000
Peachy pinks: R22, 20, 00, 000

Here's a bit of a side view . . .
I had to laugh . . . I showed my husband this card and, of course, he told me he liked it! (He's so good like that! hehehe!) Then he said, "I hope the theme isn't 'Clean & Simple', cuz if it is, you're in big trouble!" I tell ya, I was ROTFL!

My card "recipe" . . .
Creamy Caramel, Black, & Very Vanilla cardstock: Stampin' up
DPs: "Almanac Collection" by Prima
Lace, feathers, pearls, buttons, flower, Scrabble tiles, & twine: My stash
Film, hangers, & "clock die: Tim Holtz
Butterfly medallions: Bo Bunny
Mini Clips: Stampin' Up
Sentiment: Stampers Anonymous
Artist stamp (inside): 100 Proof Press
Wonky Rectangle Nesties: Spellbinders
and a few colored pencils on top of my Copics

. . . a peek at the inside . . .
And a closeup of that hilarious sentiment! I must admit, I can't disagree with it at all! LOL!
And, finally . . .

I've decided to enter this card into the following challenges:

And . . . that's it for me, kiddos! Thanks so much for stopping by to take a peek at my latest Sugar Nellie DT card . . . and for your sweet comments! Until tomorrow when I'll be back with another little something! Mwahhhh!

I couldn't resist . . .

Hey kiddos. Quick post . . . and, this time, no card!! I just couldn't resist sharing a pic of our gorgeous new grandaughter, Isla Bleu, and her adoring big sisters, Ava (age 8) and Mia (age 5).
This photo was taken last week on Isla's actual "birth"day. Don'tcha love those cheeks?! They are just begging to be nibbled! hehe! Have a great weekend. I plan on hiding out in my studio so I can show you a few new cards next week! Hugsssssssssssssss . . .

At the PARK!

Looking for my newest Sugar Bowl card?
Please scroll down.

Hello again, my lovelies! It's Thursday, and you know what that means? It means there's another fun challenge over at Mo's DP2 Challenge Blog! This week's theme is . . .

"At the Park"

Perfect . . . especially since it's nearing summer here in the Northern Hemisphere. So . . . here's what I came up with . . .
This sweet little Mo Manning image is called "Make a Wish' . . . and you can find it HERE in Mo's online store. I remember blowing dandelions while making wishes when I was a little girl. Who knew that my "wish blowing" was helping to populate my dad's lawn with the prettiest yellow flowers?! hehehe!!
I took full advantage of my DPs for this card. Cutting out specific elements (like the tree and swing-set) and popping them up on foam dimensionals! This card is another "clean & simple" creation. I'm kinda liking the simpler cards these days. Although I'm just about ready to get back to using flowers and lace and lots and lots of embellies! LOL!

My card "recipe" . . .
Image printed on Cryogen White  Paper
Crumb cake cardstock: Stampin' Up
DPs: "Playtime" by DCWV
Nestabilities: Spellbinders
Flower: K & Company
Sentiment words: Stampin' Up
Copics & Prismacolor pencils

One more view . . .
I hope you enjoyed my little creation! Now, don't forget to pop on over to Mo's DP2 Challenge Blog HERE to check out the beautiful "At the Park" projects created my talented DT sistahs! Then, please join the fun this week at Mo's DP2 Challenge Blog! Just remember to use one (or more) of Mo Manning's images (you can find them in Mo's online stores HERE and HERE).
