Sophie starts soccer!

Hi friends...yippeeeeee! It's Thursday again and all y'all know what that means, don'tcha?'s time for another fabby challenge at Mo's!! Once again, my friend and amazingly talented Dorcas is our hostess with the mostess!! And does she ever have a great theme for us... "Start of Something New"!

Now, you may think of a new baby...or a graduation...or a wedding...or even a divorce! But...nope, I wanted to make a special card for our sweet little 5-year-old granddaughter, Sophie, who just started playing soccer!! You may remember that Soph is a dancer...but this Spring she opted out of dance so she could play soccer! Well, no surprise here, Mo has the cutest little soccer players (she actually has several...but I chose this little darlin' because Sophia has curly hair!)

You may have noticed that this card is quite clean and simple...which is exactly what I was aiming for!! I so enjoy white-on-white cards and have wanted to make one for some time now. Well...while I love the embossing and layers...and I love how this adorable Mo Manning "Soccer Girl" is the focal point, I have to admit, this little card feels a bit "nekked" to me! LOL!

Don'tcha just love this little soccer ball charm" I got it from The Charm, if you're into charms, you will definitely want to check out this online store!! They have about a kabillion charms! The pinkish cardstock and ribbon are both from Stampin Up...they're called "Melon Mambo" of my fave pinks!

Here's a list of the Copics I used:
E21, 00, 000, 0000 (skin), R20 (cheeks)
E57, 53, 51, YR21 (hair)
R85, 83, 81, RV00, 000 (pinks)
C7, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 00 (greys)
W2, 00 (shading)

And here's one more side view...

Alright friends, you know the drill...put on your thinking caps and come up with a card, 3D project, etc. using one (or more) of Mo's delightful little images (there are lots and lots to choose from at Mo's Digital Pencil Online Store)...and don't forget to use Dorcas' theme "Start of Something New". Let your imaginations run wild!! But before you start crafting, pop on over to Mo's DP2 Challenge Blog and take a peek at what my talented DT sisters have created for inspiration.

OK...on your mark, get set, GO!! Let the crafting begin! Don't forget to add your card to the challenge using that Blue Frog thingie...because one lucky participant will win a  Mo Manning digi image of her (or his) choice!! Whoooo hooooo!! Shopping!! LOL!!

Thanks for stopping by for a visit...and, as always, thank you so much for your kind comments that boost my ego and truly make my day! Sending big Spring hugs your way!! Until next time...

Pat I love this card it is amazing. I love the way you have used the embossing folders to add interest and texture rather than DP's. Inspirational, thank you.

Hi, Pat!
I like how your grandaughter thinks Pat. She must be a fighter. Still, I give her about 1 year at the most before she'll start playing the guitar or sing or God knows what else might interest kids these days. But I bet I'll soon find out by myself. Luckily, Mo has stamps for all naughty kids and their changing mood just gives us a reason to
Well, Im in a blabbling mood today. Your CAS card is just delightful and I just admire you to be able to make one. I really find them so difficult to make a simple card. Then, white on white definitely looks amazing but I bet I couldn't refrain from adding an extra red border or
Now, seriously, I love it and I also love that your coloring pops out on a "cleaner" card and turns it into a perfect card. That embossed perfect is always a winner. Love it!
Hugs and have a great Sunday sweetie!
