Sandy's card...
Hello y'all...I just have to post this cute little card from my sweet friend, Sandy, in NC. She sent me this darling little card a couple of days ago and, since she hasn't had time yet to set up her own blog, I thought I'd post it here for you all to see. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do! Catcha later...Pat
LOTV Challenge...
This is a red-letter day for me...I think I may have just figured out how to enter a challenge. I'm so intimidated by the computer! Anyway, I just entered Brody's b-day card in a challenge by Lili of the Valley Stamps. If I did this right, it's just the first of many challenges for me! We'll see...Pat
Brody's birthday...
Hi...it's me again! Today is "Pat"urday at my house (my sweet hubby made it up). That usually means I get to sleep in and I can do whatever I want...housework? NOT!! Crafting...of course! No sleeping in for me today, tho...I had to get up early and take my two little furballs (Fiyero & Cooper, our toy poodles...a.k.a. "Trouble 1" and "Trouble 2") to the groomer. You know you're in trouble when your groomer yells at you! It's been 3 months since the boys were clipped...oops! So now I'm getting ready to go to Barnes & Noble with my hub. But first I thought I'd show you a little card I made yesterday for our handsome grandson, Brody. He'll be 6 on Thursday...and he'll be in 1st grade!! Oh my!! Time flies by so quickly! So...I used a cute little image from Lili of the Valley Stamps...and I tried out some of the Cryogen paper that my sweet friend, Sandy, sent me as a surprise the other day...she sent the cutest card too...I'll post that later so you can enjoy it too! I used Copics...44 different colors to be exact. Seriously....what's up with that?! And I followed a design from LOTV. It's going in the mail today...hope Brody loves it! Thanks for stopping by...I'll catcha later...Pat

Ahoy Matey...
Hi everyone...oh my, it's the weekend already. YAY!! I'm sooooo excited! I have so much crafting to get done this weekend. I have many, many cards to create...for birthdays, engagements, weddings, baby showers...and I'm so excited because I just received a huge box of flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts. Well, I paid for them, of course...but wouldn't it have been nice if they'd have sent them to me gratis just because I'm such a sweet person?! LOL. OK...enough fooling around...I have to get cracking! Here's the little Captain Edwin that I've been struggling with for the past several days. Seriously, I think this little guy was the FIFTH or SIXTH attempt! I don't know if it was the paper I was using or if I temporarily lost my touch with Copics...but this one is truly a labor of love! Yep...and how perfect since this is a birthday card for my sweet hubby! He's a big Jimmy Buffet fan...and he's a pirate "wannabe"! I think he's gonna love it...although I'm going to have to keep it a big fat secret until mid-September!
I confess, I used more Copic markers for this card than any other card I've ever made...far too numerous to list...I lost track counting at 25! The cardstock is from SU (Baja Breeze and Creamy Caramel), and the DPs are from DCWV - The Travel Stack). I used my Tim Holtz distresser, Glossy Accents, and Ultrafine Flower Soft - sand color - for the (you guessed it) sand!. I had such fun making this card...well, once I was able to get Edwin colored, that is. I hope you have fun browsing through my bloggity blog! Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a beautiful rest of the day. Catcha soon...Pat

Stella
Hi everyone. Just a quick little post because I have a lot to do tonight. I just made a list of all the cards I need to make between now and the end of the year...for birthdays and holidays...and all I can say is I'm going to be a very busy lady!! I'm working on Brody's birthday card right now. (Brody's our handsome little grandson.) In the meantime, here's a little Greetiing Farm cutie named "Stella." I got her from Tab at 7 Kids College Fund. I hope you enjoy her...and thanks a bunch for stopping by for a visit. Catcha later...Pat

Pink & Green...again!
Hi everyone...OMG, I can't believe the weekend has flown by already!! (hehehe...I say that EVERY Sunday!) I did get a chance to hang out with my handsome hubby, tho...and I did a bit of crafting too! So, all in all, it was a fun weekend!! A young friend of mine recently had some surgery, so I thought I'd make a "feel better soon" card for her. I used one of the Tildas from the 2010 Wedding Collection. I rummaged around and found some pretty DPs in my stash (they're from GCD Studios, the Cloisonne` Collection...I picked it up at Michael's a few months ago)...and guess what? Like so many of my recent cards, this one features lots of pink and green!! My husband tells me that I choose those colors because I'm a "Preppie" at heart! (I think NOT!) Anyway...here's my recipe:
Cardstock: White from my stash; Certainly Celery & Pretty in Pink from SU
Copics: E11, 00, 000, 0000 (skin); R21 & R00 (cheeks); YR21, 20, E25, 99, & 33 (hair...this is my new fave combo for hair!); G24, 21, 20 (jumper); RV 25, 23, 21, 000 (boots, buttons, hairbows, sash); C2 & 0 (T-shirt & petticoat).
Embellies: Glossy accents (boots), Cotton Candy Stickles, Flowers (Wild Orchid Crafts), ribbon, charm, doily, & faux pearls - my stash.
I also used Nestabilities, MS lace edge punch, & my Cuttlebug.
Thanks so much for stopping by to take a peek at the "trouble" I've been up to. Must run now...am making a special b-day card for my best little "boyfriend"...our grandson, Brody, has his 6th birthday in a week! YIKES! He'll be in FIRST GRADE!! It seems like just yesterday I was cradling him in my arms! See y'all soon...Pat

Check out the new cards...
Hi everyone...happy weekend to you! Hope you're surviving the heat and humidity. It's been pretty muggy here in Richmond, VA...but no rain to speak of. And do we ever need rain! The grass is literally crunchy!! Not that I've been out in the heat or wandering around in the grass...I've been hanging in one of my fave rooms of the house...my craftroom!! I finished a couple of cards...and have also listed several new cards in my online Etsy store (see link in the column to your left!)
So...this first card you're looking at is a baby shower card for a friend at work. She's having a little girl named "Summer"...how cute is that?! The image is from Lili of the Valley...and I think she's just as darling as can be!
The second card you'll ecognize as Tilda (without her wings!). I used SU cardstock (Dusty Durango and Very Vanilla), K & Company DPs, Copics (E11, 00, 000, 0000 - skin; R21 - cheeks; E99, 25, 33, Y21, Y20 - hair; E09, 08, 07, 02 - shirt; B97, 95, 93, 91 - pants & cap; G28, 24, 21, 20 - shoes & cap; C7, 5, 3, 2, 1 - shoes & shadows).
Hope you enjoy them...thanks so much for stopping by. Have a beautiful rest of the weekend! See you soon...Pat

Embellishments...more is better!!
Hello everyone...hope you've all had the best weekend! I've been hiding out in my craftroom much of the weekend. I've had lots of fun! Here's a little card that I made today...seriously, it took me all day!!! I decided to pull out the big guns today! Three Magnolia stamps, about a kabillion Copics, Magnolia DPs, Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, Cuttlebug embossing folder, SU cardstock (Pretty in Pink & Garden Green), flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, chandelier glass from Magnolia, ribbon and frog-prince charm from my stash, stickles, & glossy accents. YIKES...no wonder it took all day! So, this is far from a simple little card...but it was sure fun to make!! Hope you enjoy it!
I must thank Diana Crick from Magnolia-licious for the idea, though...I saw the idea a while back when I was shopping in her online store for stamps! So, thanks Lady Di!!
Thanks so much for stopping by...and have a great week! Pat

Sweet Wonderful You...
Hi everyone...I hope you're having a fantastic weekend so far!! I do love weekends now that I'm working during the week...makes me appreciate weekends that much more!! I have been on the phone all day...seriously...for like 4 hours!! I've been talking with my sweet little sister, Dee, in Minnesota...and talking with my dear friend and fellow stamper, Sandy in beautiful NC. What a fun day I've had...plus Barnes & Noble with my sweet hubby...and crafting! My idea of a perfect day! So here's Tilda ...I think the stamp is called Spring Bundler. I have been working on this card for several days...I'd color a bit in the mornings before work...or in the afternoon after work...just a little coloring to relax and unwind. Anyway...today I finally put her on a card...in between phone visits! haha! Hope you enjoy her...and I hope you have a great rest of the weekend! Thanks so much for stopping by. Pat

Feel better soon...
Hi friends...it's me again! So glad you stopped by for a visit. I've been a craftin' fool this weekend...so sad that weekends are just 2 days long!! Who made that rule??I could take the day off tomorrow, but since my sweet hubby will be working, I thought I'd save my vacation time for our Sept. trip to St. Maarten!!
Here's a sweet little get well card that I made because I love the image!! She comes from Lili of the Valley Stamps in the U.K. And I bought her because she's a nurse - like me!! How darling is she? Seriously, she's so stinkin' cute!! This card is really pretty simple...but I wanted to focus on the image. The buttons just sort of happened! I like the result...simple and sweet! I used DCVW (or is it DCWV?) DPs, SU cardstock (Barely Banana)...and Copics (see photo of Copics used). Hope you like this little card...and, as always, thanks so very much for stopping by! See you soon. Pat

Another wedding card...
Hi everyone...Happy 4th to all of you celebrating the holiday! It's been a lovely weekend here in Richmond, VA...weather has been spectacular! Am enjoying it while I can because starting tomorrow we're s'posed to be getting near 100 degree temps! YIKES! So...I've been enjoying my relaxing weekend by...you guessed it...crafting!! Here's a little wedding card that I put together using three Magnolia stamps. This is probably the most involved card I've ever made...and I will apologize in advance for not being able to list the Copics used. Let me tell you, they were flying fast and furious. I can tell you that I used R02, 00, 000, & RV000 for the pink dresses. Had to do a little color mixing to match the papers. DPs are Laura Ashley from the Contemporary collection. I used lots of fun things on this card...pearl swirls, flower soft, stickle, and angel wings Shimmerz on Tilda's wedding gown. I'm quite pleased with the outcome...thanks so much for stopping by. I really do appreciate your visiting and your kind comments! Pat
