Another Tilda

Hello again!! I've got another Z-fold card to share with you. I'm loving these smaller cards . . . so much simpler to mail! This is another card made with sweet little Tilda from Magnolia stamps!! I used Distress Inks for this cutie! I'm really enjoying painting with DIs lately . . . it's so relaxing!
Card Recipe:
Image stamped onto Stonehenge 100% cotton paper
Almost Amethyst Cardstock: Stampin' Up
DPs: Morning Whispers by The Paper Boutique
Dies & pearls: My stash
Inside sentiment stamp: Stampin' Up
Tim Holtz Distress Inks

A peek at the card opened up . . .

I've decided to enter this cutie into the "As You Like It" Challenge where the theme is . . .  Digi or Rubber and why. I actually like them both!! Digi images are so convenient to use and store . . . but when I paint with Distress Inks, I prefer rubber stamping. For this one, I used a rubber stamp!

And that's it for me today!! Thanks (in advance) for visiting and for your sweet comments! Hugs . . .

Just another "manic" Monday!!

Do you remember that song?? "Just another manic Monday . . . wish it were Sunday . . . that's my fun day . . . . " For some reason, it's stuck in my brain and I've been humming it for hours. So . . . I decided I'd mention it and see if I could get you to start humming it too! Then we could do a little harmony! hehe! Seriously . . . does anyone know who sang it?? 'Cuz I can't, for the life of me, remember!!

Oh wait . . . I'm not here to talk about songs . . . I'm here to show you my latest Sugar Nellie DT project!! What'cha think?
This quirky image is another one from Leanne Ellis for Sugar Nellie! It's called "Belle Flower" and is available HERE at Funky Kits. Here's a close-up . . .
Once again, I've used Tim Holtz Distress Inks! I'm still learning . . . by trial and error, I'm afraid! hehe! But, I feel like I'm getting better!! And I just think these Leanne Ellis images are perfect for Distress Inks . . . since they look sort of "vintage-y"! Here's a bit of a side view . . .
My card "recipe" . . .

On Your Special Day . . .

Happy weekend!! Yay! Don't you just love the weekend? I do!! Do you have any fabulous plans?? I should do some laundry and maybe do a little cleaning . . . but I am definitely spending the majority of the weekend in my studio!! Wheet whoo! I have a little card to post here, though, before I start working on my next "masterpiece" hehe!
This is a commission for my brother-in-law who needs a "Wedding" card for his cousin. He wanted it "not too fancy" . . . and, I gotta say, this is as "not too fancy" as I generally get! hehehe!! Hope he likes it! I've used an adorable Lili of the Valley stamp called called "Carriage for Two" . . . available HERE at LOTV's online shop. Oh, and that fun "grunge" sentiment is available at LOTV too - right HERE. Here's a close-up of this sweet image . . .
I've been experimenting with watercolor papers . . . this paper is Arches Cold Press watercolor paper 140#. I think I prefer it to the "Hot Pressed" paper since it stands up to my "overworking"! Here's a side view . . .
And one from the other side . . .
 My Card Recipe . . .

It's March . . . soooo, Anything Goes at Mo's

Welcome to March, my sweet friends!! I have one teensy question for you . . . "Where on earth did February go?" Well . . . one good thing is that Spring is just around the corner . . . right? Maybe? Yesterday I woke up to snowwwwwwwwwww here in Richmond, VA!! You know, that heavy wet stuff that sticks to the trees and is simply gorgeous . . . and that will be gone by the weekend when the temperatures warm up. But, for now, I'm sort of loving it! Here's a pic taken of my "back yard" . . .
Now . . . back to my card!! Since today is the first Thursday of the month, our challenge theme at Mo's DP2 Challenge Blog is . . .

Anything Goes!

And here's my DT contribution for this week's challenge . . .
Today's card is for one of my sister's friends who, as luck would have it, is getting ready to deliver a baby boy!! I actually colored this sweet Mo image with Distress Inks!! It takes me 10 times longer than coloring with Copics . . . but I'm blaming that on the "learning curve"! Here's a close-up of this sweetheart . . .
This precious image is called "Baby and Bunny" and you can find it HERE in Mo's online store. Here's a side view . . .
My Card "Recipe" . . .
Image printed on Strathmore Cold-Pressed 90# Watercolor Paper
Colored with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Markers & Re-Inkers
Baja Breeze & Chocolate Chip cardstock: Stampin' Up
DPs, pearls, & charm: My stash
Oval dies: Spellbinders
Corner die: Marianne's Creatables
Baja Breeze Seam Binding: Stampin' Up
Sentiment stamps: Whimsy
Flowers & pearl brad: Wild Orchid Crafts
Copic Sketch Markers & colored pencils

A peek at the inside . . .
And . . . one last "artsy" photo . . .
So . . . what'cha think? Cute, huh? (Nothing like fishing for compliments, huh?! hehe!) Now it's your turn . . . but before you get craftin', first you'll want to head on over to Mo's DP2 Challenge Blog to check out the fabulous projects created by my talented DT sisters! Then, please join us for this week's "Anything Goes" challenge. It's easy . . . just pull out your craft supplies and at least one Mo Manning image and start creating!!

Oh . . . and don't forget, Mo is awarding (selected at random) one $5.00 shopping spree at her online store for every 25 challenge participants! What an easy and fun way to get some new Mo images, right?!

And . . .  that's it for me! Thank you so much for stopping by . . . and, as always, for your sweet comments. Hugs . . . until next time.

Welcome to Lillie Ann!!

Hehehe!! So . . . here's the deal . . . this card is for my sister, Dee (so if you're reading this, Dee, STOP!!) I know she'll read it anyway, even if I tell her NOT to look at my blog! hahaha! She's such a . . . what's the word . . . PEEKER!! LOL! OK . . . so, this is a card that I made purely for fun and especially for my little sister. Why? Because she's getting a new puppy! And I thought this would be a cute image to color for her card . . .
Her new puppy is named "Lillie Ann" and is a little (and by little, I mean THREE POUNDS little!) Maltese puppy! I've seen photos and she's as darling as can be! So I thought this sweet Tilda holding a white puppy would be perfect! Here's a close-up . . .
I've been working on learning to paint with Distress Inks . . . and, while I know the Copic colors I prefer for hair, skin, etc., I'm on a bit of a learning curve with the new medium. PLUS . . . the colors seem to vary slightly depending on whether I'm using Distress Ink pads, re-inkers, or markers. Weird, huh? Here's a bit of a side-angle . . .
 My Card Recipe:
Image inked with Archival "Coffee" onto 140# cold-press Arches Watercolor paper
Pretty in Pink Cardstock: Stampin' Up
Digital DPs: Puppy Love Too
Dies: Magnolia
Charm, pearls, corners, & pink trim: My stash
White seam binding: The Ribbon Girl
Flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts

Tim Holtz Distress Inks:
Tea Dye & Tattered Rose (skin)
Victorian Velvet, Lipstick, & Tattered Rose (cheeks)
Scattered Straw, Vintage Photo, & Walnut (hair, shoes, basket)
Victorian Velvet & Aged Mahogany (pinks)
Weathered Wood (blues and shadow)
Pumice stone (puppy)

A peek at the inside, which I kept very simple with space for a quick note . . .
And the ever-popular "artsy" view . . .
I've decided to enter this card into the following challenges:

And that's it for now . . . but I'll be back soon!! Thanks so much for visiting . . . and for leaving me such sweet comments! Until next time . . . hugggggggggssssssssssss!

. .
I've been experimenting with watercolor papers . . . this paper is Arches Hot Press watercolor paper 140#. I kind of like it . . . although I have a tendency to "overwork" a bit, so I'll have to work on that! Here's a side-ish view . . .
