Farewell to my Sugar Nellie "Family" . . .

Happy Wednesday, my sweet friends and fellow "sugar" lovers!! I am writing this post with mixed emotions. You see, I've made the very difficult decision to step down from Sugar Nellie's Design Team so that I can spend more time pursuing other expressions of art . . . including charcoal and watercolor portraiture.

And, since I'm going to spend more time on my art career, I thought it would be fun to share a card I created and posted last year using one of my favorite Sugar Nellie stamps!

This is one of Krista Smith's "Simply Sassy" images created exclusively for Sugar Nellie. Her name is, "Artistic Goddess" . . . and I do believe she was my very FIRST "Simply Sassy" stamp. I just love her facial expression . . . and funky specs! And, ohhhh, that hair! What fun!! "Artistic Goddess" is available HERE at Funky Kits.

Baby, Baby . . .

Hey there, sweet friends!! Are ya ready for another Sugar Nellie DT Monday?! I am!! And today I have another super cute card to share with you! Seriously . . . have you ever seen a Sugar Nellie image that wasn't super cute? I haven't! And I think this one is extra super-de-duper cute!

This week's card is for my sister . . . well, it's for my sister to give to a friend who is having a new grandbaby!! And the grandbaby is (allegedly) a little boy! The baby hasn't been born quite yet . . . but they're saying it's a boy! hehe! Now . . . I've always loved this sweet little stamp . . .  it's called "Cute & Cuddly" and I just think it's perfect for a baby card, regardless of the baby's gender!! For the Birthday Boy!!

This week, I made something special for our one and only grandson, Brody!! He's having a birthday . . . his 9th . . . in just a few days!! The stamp is called "Number One Fan" and he's one of the Simply Sassy stamps created by talented artist, Krista Smith, specifically for Sugar Nellie! So, I thought I'd make a little name card for Brody. There's a pocket on the back for a gift card, (of course!!) and a hanger thingie so he can hang this little creation on his bedroom door!

Christmas in July! What the what?!

Ho ho ho . . . he he he . . . and hap-hap-happy Monday, my little elves!! So . . . wasn't Saturday's Sugar Nellie Blog Hop such fun?!! I loved looking at all of the gorgeous Summer creations!! And now that we're all deep into Summer mode, I've decided to shake things up a bit with this week's Sugar Nellie DT card!

That's right . . . a Christmas Card! hehehe! For this little holiday creation, I used one of Leanne Ellis' images made especially for Sugar Nellie. The stamp is called "Pointsettia Girl" and she's available right HERE at Funky Kits!

No "Shell" Like Home . . .

Happy Monday, my lovelies!! I hope you had a great weekend!! I certainly did!! Well, except that yesterday, for no apparent reason, the power went out in my neighborhood!! What the what? Not a cloud in the sky . . . so I can't blame it on storms!! Weird!! Fortunately, most of this week's Sugar Nellie DT card was done! I really have to quit waiting 'til the last minute! Eeek!
