Anything Goes at Mo's (Optional Theme: BOYS)

Yikes . . . it's been forever since I posted a card/project here!! Why? Because I've been traveling a bit. Went on a week-long Caribbean Cruise with my sweet hubby . . . and then I spent a week in Phoenix, AZ with my three craaaazy kids and six of our darrrrrrrrrling grandkiddos!! Such fun!!

And now I'm back . . . and it's Thursday . . . and it's time for another challenge over at Mo's DP2 Challenge Blog!! We're doing something a little different this year at Mo's! All of our challenges will be "Anything Goes" but with an optional theme!! I LOVE IT!! So, my sweet and talented DT sister Amanda has decided she'd like our OPTIONAL THEME to be . . .

"Boys, Boys, Boys"

With a Mo Manning image, of course! So, I thought I'd make a birthday card for our sweet grandbaby, Henry . . . who will have his first birthday in just a few weeks! Here's what I came up with . . .
I used one of Mo's little boy images called Bastian with Bear. He's available HERE in Mo's online store.

Here's a close-up of this little darlin' . . .

And a side view . . .

Boys, Boys, & More Boys at Sassy Cheryl's!

Happy Tuesday, my sweet (er, or should I say "Sassy") friends! Are you having the most fabulous June so far? We've had a bit of rain here in Richmond, Virginia . . . and now everything is so, so green!! Although not officially quite yet, I do believe Summer has arrived! OK . . . enough on the weather . . . it's time for another fun challenge at Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Blog?!!  But first a little reminder . . .

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Blog is having a Design Team Call!!
Find complete details HERE!

Now . . . onto this week's challenge!! Our very own talented and "sassilicious" Miz Judy is hostess this week . . . and she'd like to see cards and projects that are . . .

For the Guys/Boys!

Well, well, well . . . I am probably the worst when it comes to making "boy" cards! I am really all about girly and embellished with flowers and jewels! But, what the heck . . . boys need a chance to be showcased too, I guess! hehe! So, here ya go . . .
It's Max!! I just love him (even though he is kind of a boy! hehe!) This handsome little skateboarder is called "Grip it & Rip it Max." He's available in Sassy Cheryl's online store HERE. And, if you prefer "girls," this image is also available in a "Maddie" version HERE. Although Maddie is certainly more of a "tomboy" in this image, she's awfully cute too!! Here's a close-up of little Max . . .
I made this card for our only grandson, Brody, who will be 9 years old in August. He lives in Arizona (far too many miles away from Virginia . . . and I miss my little buddy bunches and bunches!! So I decided to make this card for him . . . undoubtedly a gift card will find it's way inside the envelope! hehe! Here's a pic of our handsome little Brody (he is definitely my son's "mini me"!) . . .
Now I know I'm biased, but I sure do think he's a handsome little guy!! Gotta love those sunglasses!! OK . . . back to my card . . . here's a bit of a side view . . .
Card "recipe" . . .

Happy Thursday, my sweet friends!! Guess what time it is! It's time for another fun challenge over at the Sugar Bowl, of course!! Now, for this fortnight's challenge, we have another fun sketch for you . . . this one's from our very own amazingly talented DT Sweetie, Maria Therese . . . .
With the optional theme of  . . . For the BOYS!

And here's what I came up with . . .
This sweet little guy with his teddy bear heart is called "Worried." He's from the Kathy Hare's collection of Sugar Nellie stamps and is available HERE at Funky Kits. Here's a close-up . . . .
Now, for those of you who know me, you know that I almost never do "Clean & Simple" anything! But this card is actually a sympathy card for one of our best friends who recently lost his son . . . so I decided to keep it rather simple.

My card "recipe" . . .
Night of Navy & White cardstock: Stampin' Up
DPs: my stash
Sentiment: Stamping Bella
Corner die: Whimsy
Ribbon: Stampin' Up
Buttons: my stash
Copics & pencils on Cryogen Paper

And . . . last, but not least . . .
Now it's time to pop on over to the Sugar Bowl and take a peek at the fabulous "For the Boys" creations by my fellow DT Sweeties. Then, come join us for this fortnight's challenge! One lucky participant will be randomly selected to win a fabulous prize from Sugar Nellie. Once again, our prize for this Sugar Bowl Challenge is:.

. . . . your choice of FOUR Sugar Nellie stamps
(increasing to SIX if we have 100+ entries!) . . . .
Remember. . . you can't win if you don't play!!
And invite your friends to play too!

And that's it for me! Thank you so much for stopping by . . . and for your kind comments that absolutely make my day!
