Hey there m'darlins!! It's Thursday. . . my fave day of the week! Why? you ask . . . well, it's because I have my drawing class every Thursday . . . Oohh . . . I was so excited to see this challenge theme because I had just the perfect image in mind . . . I won't tell you that this card is for my "baby" sister, Dee, because I want her to be surprised! AND, I can't call and tell her NOT to look because then her fingers will be moving so fast on her computer keyboard, that they'll be smokin'! hehehe! So, I'm just hoping she's too busy to look at my blog this week! LOL!

Anything Goes at 7 Kids!

Happy Wednesday my sweet friends! It's time for another fun-tastic challenge at 7 Kids Challenge Blog! And this fortnight's challenge theme is  . . .

Anything Goes!

I love "Anything Goes" challenges . . . especially when there are sooooo many fabulous new stamps to choose from at 7 Kids College Fund! And let me tell ya, I've been doing a fair amount of shopping at 7 Kids! hehehe!! OK . . . so, without further ado, here's my DT project . . .

This little sweetheart is called "Pie Tilda" . . . I decided, for a change of pace, to stamp her with Memento Desert Sand ink, giving her a bit of a "no line" look! And I paired her with this gorgeous DP and cardstock (Baja Blue, Very Vanilla, & Pear Pizzazz) from Stampin' Up. I also used Pear Pizzazz seam binding (from SU), flowers and lace from Wild Orchid Crafts, corner die & front sentiment from Whimsy. The inside sentiment came from an old Bildmalarna set, and the corner stamp is from Lili of the Valley's (LOTV) "Grunge" Postmark set. Here's another view . . .

Hehehe! The wearin o' the green, you say?! No problem! Here's what I came up with . . . 

This card features the ever so adorable "LuLu" and her little green froggy friend!! This cute image is the brainchild of the very talented artist, Cheryl Alger (a.k.a. Sassy Cheryl), and is available as a rubber stamp from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps HERE. So, now Sassy Cheryl lovers can have her incredible images as digis AND rubber! How fab is that?!

Hmmm . . . so Peggy wants "green" . . . well then, green it is! hehe! But, of course, I just had to add a pinch of  pink and blue . . . and some fun shiny red rain boots!

"Ribonita" Girls at Sugar Nellie!

Hey there my darlins! I hope you had a fab-fab-fabulous weekend!! I sure did . . . busy tearing apart my craft room . . . will get it back together this week, I hope! I promise to post "before and after" pics when the "after" has actually occurred! hehehe!

So, this week at Sugar Nellie, we're doing something fun! All week we'll be "featuring" the new "Ribonita" girls . . . Lolita, Belle, Alice, and Mori . . . .

And today I get to show you "Belle" . . .

Instead of making a card with this little lady, I decided to make another candle! They are such fun to make!! Here's a quick little tutorial if you're feeling like making one yourself! So simple . . .  so quick . . . and such fun! I've decided to give this to my sweet, 92 year-old mother-in-law for Mother's Day! I just know she'll love it!

A Candle with "Kisses"

Alrighty then . . . it's Thursday . . .  and I really, REALLY stepped out of my comfort zone for this week's challenge over at Mo's DP2 Challenge Blog! My sweet and talented friend . . . and DT sister, Iulia, is our hostess this week . . . and Iulia would like us all to . . .

Try Something NEW!
(That means a new product or a new technique!)

Well, well, well . . . I put on my crafty li'l thinking cap and came up with this fun project! And let me tell you . . . this was definitely "SOMETHING NEW" for me!!

OK . . . so, here's the deal . . . I'd been drooling over several of my Design Teamies' candles (both Elaine & Debbie have made gorgeous candles recently . . . and I thank them for their brilliant work and inspiration!) . . . so I decided to give it a try!!

I must admit, this was the easiest project I have EVER made! I simply secured a piece of tissue paper to a sheet of cardstock and printed my desired Mo image . . .  in this case, "Kisses" . . . onto the tissue! Then I colored the image with Copics. Be sure to color the image much darker than your typical coloring! (Thanks for that tip, Elaine.) Once you're done, simply remove the tissue from the cardstock . . .taking care not to tear your freshly colored image!

Then simply scissor cut the image . . . place it on your pillar candle, colored side facing out! Wrap a piece of wax paper around the candle, smoothing out the wrinkles. Then, with your heat gun and using a back-and-forth sweeping motion, apply heat to the image for just a few seconds. It will actually melt your image into the candle! Add a bow, flower, bling, or whatever! See? Easy Peasy!!

Spring at the Sugar Bowl

It's "raining" ladybugs at Sassy Cheryl's!!

Wheee! It's Tuesday, my lovelies! And . . .that means  it's time for another fun challenge at Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Blog! Once again, our very sweet and "sassy" Jackie is our hostess with the mostess! And Miz Jackie has come up with this very cooooool sketch for us to follow . . . 

Fun, right?! So . . . here's what I came up with . . . 

This card features another one of my new faves . . . it's Sassy Sally, of course! In fact . . .  the image is called "Sassy Sally and her Ladybug" and is available HERE at Sassy Cheryl's! Doesn't she have THE cutest nose?! Here's a side view (of the card, not Sally's nose! You're already seeing a side view of her nose! hehe!) . . .

So, here's the deal  . . . I've had these DPs for YEARS! Seriously . . . I think I've had them for SEVEN YEARS! hehehe! But, they're perfect with this darlin' little Sally, aren't they?! Now, that big round ribbon thingie was made with something called a "Gluber". . . and I just twisted some fun red & black polka-dot ribbon from my stash and it becomes magically stuck to the "gluber". (That's right . . . magic!!) Then I hot glued a button to the top!! And . . . Voila! . . . a clever little embellie!! hehehe!

Hello there my sweet friends!! Today I have another tag card for you to peek at. I have discovered that I quite enjoy making tag cards! This is my second ever . . . and I think it turned out rather cute (if I do say so myself! hehe!) What'cha think?

This little cutie is Coriander, one of the Sweet November stamps from C.C. Designs. I'm embarrassed to admit that, while I've had this adorable stamp for more than a year, THIS is the FIRST time it's been within spitting distance of an ink pad!! But, I tell ya, what a delightful image to color!! Here's sort of a side view . . .

I used Blushing Bride cardstock from Stampin' Up! Oh, that sentiment is from SU too. I thought this would make a nice little "Thank You" card for a sweet friend, Kim, who just sent me a fabulous "Craftin' Care Package!" (Kim . . . avert your eyes! Or at least act really surprised when it comes in the mail! hehe!)
