Make a wish...

OK...so now that I can see, I have no dang excuse, right?! Oh, but get this...I made this cute little card today (after I got my new specs)...and I just noticed, ol' Tilda is leaning just a bit to one side! Hmmm...one too many chambord margaritas last night, perhaps...wait, not me, Tilda!! OK...so let's talk crafting...here's the "magic" recipe I used to make this adorable little card...

Cardstock: Pretty in Pink (Stampin-Up) and white CS from my stash
DP: K & Company
Lace & Ribbon: my stash
Flowers: The pink ones are from Hobby Lobby...and the white ones are Prima
Pink pearls: Mikimoto (hehehe...just checking to see if you're paying attention!!)
I used a corner rounder...and a MS lace edge punch
Stickles: Stardust
Princess shoes: created w/diamond glaze (Judikins)

Copics:
Skin: E11, 00, 000, & R21 for cheeks
Hair: E35, 17, 19, YR21, 20
Dress & shoes: R85, 83, 81, and RV10 & 0000
Star: Y15, 6, 11, & 0000
Anklets & shadow outline: C1 & 0
Grounded beneath her feet w/ W1

So, there you go...add a little Sharpie white poster paint - extra fine, Sookwang double-sided tape, and dimensionals...and be sure the image is tilted just a smidge to one side...and, VOILA! One cute card!

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit. I soooo want to make another card...but I really have to do some work on those nursing presentations I'm giving next month!! Preliminary info is due today!! Yikes!! Have a beautitul day! Pat

Emma...

Hi everyone...I hope you're having a beautiful weekend! I'm procrastinating writing a presentation that I'm giving at an upcoming nursing conference...and, guess what?... making cards is sooooo much more fun! So, here's a sweet little card that I made for our oldest grandaughter, Emma. She's 11..oh, my! Double digits!! She's an amazing kiddo...so beautiful...bright...and athletic! She's Sophie's older sister (6 years age difference...same as my sister and me!) Anyway...I found this adorable little Mo Manning stamp called "End of Summer" and decided it would be perfect for Em! Here's the card "recipe"...

Cardstock: Pretty in Pink & Almost Amethyst (from Stampin-Up)
Designer Paper: also from SU
Sentiment: Whimsical Words (from SU)
Paper punch: Petunia (I think that's what this flower is called) from Martha Stewart
Edges of image: Bashful Blue & Always Artichoke ink from SU
Copics:
Skin: E11, 00, 000, 0000 (and R21 & 20 for her cheeks)
Hair: E25, 55, and YR21 & 20
Shirt (and pink flowers): R32, 30, & 00
Jeans (and [purple flowers): BV04, 02, 0000
Leaves & grass: G28, 24, 21, & 0000

I hope you like her...and I really hope Emma likes her. Thanks so much for stopping by...now scroll down and take a peek at my new Tilda card. Pat

Hopeless???..

Hi everyone...here's a cute little Tilda called "Hopeless"...seriously, how sad is that for a name? So I made her an angel without visible wings...and renamed her "Tilda...Just sitting here thinking of you"! It's a bit of a lengthy name, I know...but, hey, it's better than "Hopeless" don'tcha think?? So here's the "recipe"...Stampin-Up "Very vanilla" & Bazzill cardstock. DPs are from October Afteroon - Report Card pad (I think I ordered this paper from Gina K). Flower is a Prima, and ribbon & buttons are from my stash. Sentiment is from Magnolia. I also used Martha Stewart punches for corners & edges. Copics used are as follows:

Skin: E11, 00, 000, 0000, (and R21 & 20 for cheeks)
Hair: E19, 18, 17, & 13, and YR 20 for additional golden highlights
Shirt & socks: YR07, 02, 01, 00, 0000 (plus a little Y11 & 00 to match the flower)
Pants: BG78, 75, 72, 10, & 000
Clogs: E57, 25, 55, & 53

Whew...I used alot of Copics for this tiny little image. It took me almost as long to list the markers as it did to color the image!!! Anyway...I hope you enjoy her. Thanks so much for stopping by to visit! And for all your supportive and helpful comments! Catcha later...Pat

Dee's birthday!!

Hi everyone. I hope you're having a great weekend so far. The weather here in Richmond, VA is just beautiful...sunny and a little breezy. I have no idea what the temp is...short sleeve and shorts weather, for sure. Although I favor capris over shorts...I can't be responsible for the psychotherapy people may need after seeing my legs in shorts!! So, now that you've had the up-to-the-minute weather report, and have that image of me in shorts burned into your brain, let's get down to serious craftin' business....

Tomorrow is my "baby" sister's birthday...I almost posted how old she'll be, but let's just say she's going to be 29 (again) and leave it at that! LOL! Anyway...I wanted to do something special for her because she's such a special person...and I am truly blessed to have her in my life. So I made her a cute little card using an image from Mo's Digital Pencil...the funny thing about the card is that Dee is 6 years younger than I am...and she was such a little stinker when she was a kid! That image seemed to fit her perfectly. I made her another framed card...using a Whipper Snapper design...but I just realized, I didn't take photos!! Arrgghhh...I'll have to call and have Dee take some for me! Anyway...I wanted to share this little card with you all (sorry the pics aren't so clear...my new glasses are ready to be picked up today!!). Happy B-day, Dee!!! And many, many more!!! Hugs to all of you for taking time to visit and leave comments on my bloggity blog blog! Pat

Friday's cards...

Hi eveyone. Thanks so much for stopping by my bloggity blog to check on things here in Richmond, VA, Windy and warm today...had to keep the windows closed to keep the pollen outside...sort of! But that wasn't a problem at all since I sequestered myself in my craft room and made a couple of cards...the first is an image from Mo Manning. I made her for our grandaughter, Sophie. Soph (4 yrs old) has curly curly hair like this...and she is just as precious as she can be. She's a ballet dancer...and loves the color blue. So this seemed perfect for her. Hope she likes it!! The other card was made with a Magnolia image from the Raising the Ceiling collection. It's actually a sympathy card for our neighbors whose yellow lab, Saffron, just died last week. So I thought I'd make a little card for Saffron's family from my hubby & me...and our two "boys" (toy poodles) Fiyero & Cooper. I used Stampin Up cardstock (banana) and DP from Making Memories (English Garden collection). Copics used include:

Fur: E25, 35, 53, & 50 and R21 for inside the ears
Bow: B6, 4, 2, & 00
Rose: R85, 83, & 81
Leaves & stem: G28, 24, 21, % 00

Flowers are from Prima...and pink "diamonds" are from my jewelry box...just kidding!! They're from my embellishment stash!! Sentiment is from Inkadinkado.

Anyway...I hope you enjoyed browsing...Thanks so, sooooo much for stopping by...and for your comments. I will have a couple more cards to post this weekend!! I have so much to do before I return to work!! arrgghhhh! Catcha later...Pat

Tax Day...

Hello everyone...Happy Thursday! It's a beautiful day here in Richmond, VA...in the low-80's...and sunny. Have y'all mailed your taxes yet? Thankfully, we did ours a while ago...so there's no need for us to do that last minute panic filing!! So...it's been a few days since I posted. Have been busy making things for my sister's birthday...you'll have to wait until she receives them (via snail mail) to see them posted here, tho...she's a sneak peeker, y'know! LOL! But...I did have a little time to make a couple of sweet little cards for 2 of our 4 granddaughters. These will be for Ava (6 yrs old) & her sister, Mia (3 yrs old). They are the sweetest little girls...Ava is a star kindergartner...seriously, she's always getting awards! And Mia...well, she's giving her mother grey hair, I think!! But, I think her antics are just too precious!! She just started dance class!! They're my little lovebugs! Brag..brag..brag..brag!!! They live in AZ and I don't get a chance to see them nearly often enough. :-( They enjoy receiving mail...and it's fun to make things for them. The cards are the smaller size (A2)...and I used very little embellishments just because I didn't have a lot of space. I did use some stickles...and a little Diamond Glaze (Judikins) to add some bling!! Stamp images are from Magnolia...and Whipper Snapper. Hope you enjoy them...have to run now...so much to do and so few hours in a day!!! Have a beautiful evening! Pat

Little Slugger...

Hi everyone. Hope you are having a beautiful weekend. I've been having some fun making a special little something for my favorite little buddy...grandson Brody. He's 5 and is just starting T-ball. I decided that making a card w/this Whipper Snapper image was just not good enough...I kicked it up a notch and framed the completed image. I added ribbon, bottons, and a cute little baseball glove charm. Hope he likes it! I can't wait to see him play...he's in AZ so I'll be heading to the desert Southwest soon. Between baseball, dance recitals, volleyball, tennis, swimming, and just hanging with my favorite people in the whole world...grandkids Emma, Ava, Brody, Sophie, and Mimi...I'm generally too busy to get into much trouble while I'm there!! Have to run...am working on setting up my online store to sell some of my creations. I'll let you know when that process is completed so you can stop by and maybe even contribute to my "craft fund" Until then, have a beautiful rest of your weekend!! Pat

Splendiferous Day...

Wow...twice in one day!! I've been having the best time in my craft room this afternoon...I no sooner start one card and I have 2 or 3 ideas for my next projects rattling around in my head!! So...here's my latest creation...here's Tilda w/her hugely splendiferous petticoat!! If you're familiar w/this stamp, you will have noticed that I removed her wings. Isn't she just toooooo cute?!! I used Stampin-Up (SU) cardstock (Ruby Red & Very Vanilla) as well as DP from K&Company. Flowers are Prima...ribbon & "pearls" are from my stash. I used my Nestabilities & Cuttlebug to make the shapes inside and out...sentiment is from A Muse stamps, and I colored Tilda w/these Copics:

Skin: E13, 11, 00, & R21 for her face
Hair: E35, 17, 19, & Y21 & 20
Coat/dress & hair ribbon: BG18, 13, 11, 10 & 00
Petticoat: BG10 & 0000
Belt & shoes: R29, 24, 22, 21, & 20
Then I "grunged" her up a bit in the corners with W3

I had a really fun time with this little Tilda card...hope you enjoyed her...thanks for stopping by...and Tilda & I both hope you have a splendiferous day!! Pat

Just thinkin' of you...

Hi everyone...I hope your weekend is starting out fan-tab-u-lous-ly! It's absolutely gorgeous here in Richmond, VA. Mid-60's and sunny. Perfect Spring weather!! I had a chance to make a card yesterday...but didn't get around to posting it until just now. I decided that I needed to practice doing "boy" cards...so here's Heartbreaker Edwin...minus his wings. He's just sittin' around thinkin'...he is seriously adorable, don't you think?! I must admit, I struggled with coloring this little guy. My colors just came out brighter and stronger than I had intended. I'm so heavy-handed w/my Copics...so I keep practicing! I used a variety of papers for this card...Stampin Up (SU) cardstock (bordering blue and crisp cranberry)and DP by GCD Studios called "Planes and Trains" (I got it at Hobby Lobby in Phx, AZ). Brads & eyelets are from my stash...and the ribbon (Always Artichoke) and hardware are from SU. Copics used are as follows:

Face & hands: E13, 11, 00 (& R21 for his cheeks)
Hair: YR21, 20, E35, & a little E17 & E19 for auburn highlights
Pants: B99, 97, 95, & 91
Shirt: G99, 20, YG67, 63, 03, & 0000 (it took awhile to get the right shade of green)
Socks: same colors as used in shirt & pants
Bench: E25, 29, 35 & 31

Thanks for stopping by...and thanks so very much for your comments!! Have to run now...I have a whole stack of images that just need some tender loving attention!! Catcha later...Pat

You're in my thoughts...

Hello everyone. I hope you're having a great week. Springy here...warm with a very light breeze. Perfect day for opening the windows...unless you're allergic to that yellow dusty pollen that seems to be covering everything outside!! hehehe...good thing I have a full supply of allergy meds!! So...I decided to do a little multi-tasking today...I made a card while doing laundry!! That's about as good as I get with multi-tasking...oh, I probably could have chewed a piece of gum at the same time, but that's stretching it!! Anyway...this little girl is a Bildmalarna stamp called Mimosa's Book (she's available at StampingScrapping.Com). I used Stampin-Up (SU) cardstock (So Saffron, Sage Shadow, and Pale Plum. The DP is from SU too. I used a M. Stewart punch for the edging; and distressed some of the edges on the card w/my Tim Holtz distressing tool...love this! The little rose is a Prima...and the purple "pearls" are from my stash. The sentiment inside is from SU "Whimsical Words...stamped w/Perfect plum ink. I colored this little image w/Copics as follows:

Face, arms, legs, feet: E13, 11, 00...and R21 for her cheeks
Hair: E35, YR21 & 20 (I got this color combo idea from S. Dean...love it!)
Dress: RV 99, 95, 93
Grass: G28, 24, 20
Book: E27 (cover), and C2 & 00 for pages
Shading around image was done w/C1.

I hope you enjoyed your visit....thanks so much for stopping by! I may have to ink up one of my new Maggies next! Have a beautiful evening! Pat

Tilda's pink boots...

Hi everyone...thank you so much for stopping by to say "hi". It was a warm day here in Richmond, VA...and, after the showers we had yesterday morning, the trees are really leafing out. I do believe Spring has sprung!!! I've been working on coloring w/my Copics. I am taking Suzanne Dean's online class...awesome!!! Plus...I just got my hands on a "Bow-Easy"...what a cooooool tool! Makes super easy and super pretty bows! You can see one here...I made it w/sheer ribbon and wrapped it 4 times. I think it looks fab! So...I had a chance to put together another card using one of my favorite Tilda's (oh, wait, I say that about every one of my Maggies!) I decided to color her boots pink in honor of our 4-year-old grandaughter, Sophie. I tried talking her into getting some pink faux suede Uggs about a year ago. They were adorable on Sophie too...even though they made her feet too hot and we didn't end up getting them! Probably not too practical since Sophie lives in Phoenix, AZ! Anyway...that's the story on the pink boots!

Once again, I used scrap cardstock and designer paper...all pink & blue! I pulled out my trusty Cuttlebug...and my Martha Stewart lace punches. The roses are Prima (I think) from 7 Kids College Fund. Sentiment is from Stampin-Up "Whimsical Words" and stamped w/Not Quite Navy ink.

Skin: E13, 11, 00, (& R21 for cheeks)
Hair: E35, YR21 & 20
Dress & boots: R39, 85, 83, & 81
Pinafore: B04, 02, & 00
Anklets: C2 & C0

So that's my story for today...hope you're having a fabulous week. Thanks again for stopping by...and for all of your sweet comments! Pat

Just kickin' back...

Hi again!! I've been practicing my coloring and just whipped this little card together. Not too "embellished" but cute, just the same (if I do say so myself!) I used Stampin Up cardstock (barely banana) and a variety of designer papers from my scrap stash. I colored Tilda w/these Copics:

Face & hands: E13, 11, 00, & R21
Hair: E35, YR21 & YR20
Shoes & hair bows: R88, 83, & 81
Jeans & shirt: B97, 95, & 91

I used my extra-fine white Sharpie poster-paint marker (I looooove this pen!) for highlights and to decorate her shirt & pants; and I applied some Inkssentials glossy accents to her shoes and some Star Dust Stickles to her wings to make the shine & sparkle. Sentiment & flower stamps are from Stampin Up using "Not Quite Navy" ink.

I hope she brings a smile to your face! Thanks for visiting...and for your comments! Am off to the gym (arrgghhhh) with my sweet hubby! When I get home I'll be "kickin' back like little Tilda! Have a beautiful April day! Pat

Baby Bunny...

Hi everyone. I'll bet you're thinking that you've seen the last of Easter cards for 2010...WRONG!! hehehe Here's a sweet little Easter card that I made last week. I had to wait to post it here until after my sister received it. She's a terrible peeker and I couldn't risk her seeing it here before she received it in the mail!! Anyway...it arrived in Minnesota yesterday (just one day late...not soooo bad!), so here's Baby Bunny Tilda for you to see too. She was such fun to make...I hope you enjoy her. Catcha later...Pat

An apron full of eggs...

Happy April Fool's Day everyone!! It was an absolutely gorgeous day here in Richmond, VA. Sunny and warm...mid-70's I would guess. I received a big order of Maggies today...oh my, it's Christmas in April!! Alas...I needed to hold off inking up my new images, though. Still had Easter cards to finish! So, here's little Tilda with an apron full of eggs...they're hard-boiled, of course, and colored w/sparkly egg dye. (That's "Magnolia Code" for Copics & Stickles!). I decided to use up some of my scraps of designer paper...so I made a little woven mat...for both the cover as well as the inside of the card. (Cardstock is Stampin-Up...So Saffron.) Then I used my trusty Nestabilities and cut out ovals for Tilda to tuck herself into. Embellishments include Prima roses, pearls, and the interior flower was made with my new Nellie Snellen punches. Oh...if you look closely at the front of the card, you'll see lace-edged white cardstock under the DP mat (I used a MS lace punch for that). Finally, the copics I used are as follows:

Skin: E13, 11, 00, & R20 (I'm going a little darker w/skin tones these days)
Hair: YR 21, 20, & E35
Anklets: C2 & 1
Dress & shoes: RV29, 13, 10, & 00 (I glazed the shoes to make them shiney)
Eggs: BV13, 02, 0000; Y13 & 11; B24 & 21; G24 & 20; and YR07 & 02.

I also sprayed the purple roses with Baby's Breath Shimmerz spray...although I can't really appreciate the shimmer unless I look really, really close(despite having really shaken the bottle)....

So...I hope you enjoy this little Tilda...and, as always, I soooooooo appreciate all of your kind and encouraging comments!! Am off to watch a new season of Bones now...that Sealy Booth is just too hot!! Catcha later, folks...Pat

Egg-stra Special...

What? Me? Procrastinate? Seriously...I still have a couple of days until Easter, right? So, no worries!! Here's the first of my Easter cards. She's awfully cute, isn't she? But, then, have you ever met a Tilda that wasn't cute?! I think NOT! I must apologize for the quality of the photos, though. I think this was about my 5th try to get reasonably good photos to post! I hope you can see the pics well enough to enjoy them. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a beautiful night...Pat
