We're getting "KRAFTY" at Mo's!

Hey everyone! Just a couple of week's until Christmas . . . and, as luck would have it, it's also time for another challenge over at Mo's DP2 Challenge Blog!! This fortnight's "host" is my talented friend and Design "teamie" Kim!! She'd like to see cards and projects made with . . .

"Kraft Paper"

Hmmmm . . . pretty easy, huh?! Here's what I came up with . . .

And another . . .

And one more . . .

I decided to make three small "kraft" cards using Mo's "Valerie in Winter" images!! They're precious . . . and super-de-duper easy to color/paint. I used Copic Sketch markers and colored pencils for these cuties . . . and, naturally had to add some "sparkle"!!  You can find this fabulous "Valerie" digi set HERE in Mo's online shop!!

And here's one more pic of all three little cards . . .

Now, I hope you'll pop on over to Mo's DP2 Challenge Blog to check out the fun projects created by Kim and the rest of my super-talented Design Team sisters! Then please join us for this fortnight's "Kraft" Challenge!!

** Mo will be awarding (winner selected at random) one of her images as a Penny Black "Slapstick" cling stamp!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by! See you soon!! Hugs . . . .

We're using "Kraft" paper at Mo's this week!

Hey there, kiddos! It's time for another fun challenge at Mo's DP2 Challenge Blog! And this week, our lovely and talented Design Teamie, Kim, is our Hostess . . . and she'd like to see us all use a little . . .
"Kraft Paper"

So . . . since I'm mostly a "Copics" color-er, I decided to break out of my comfort zone and do a little coloring with pencils directly on the kraft paper! I swear, it looks so easy when other people do it, but me? Hmmmmm . . . not so much! Well . . . be kind . . . here's my "Kraft Paper" project . . .
And . . . not only did I color on kraft paper . . . I also made this week's card CLEAN & SIMPLE!! Aaacck! Definitely looks more than a little naked to me . . . but it'll be easy to mail since it's pretty flat! Here's a close up . . .
I chose this sweet little Mo Manning image called "Snowman" . . . you can find this image HERE in Mo's online store! Here's a side view . . .
  My Card "Recipe" . . .

And, one last pic . . .
So, there ya have it . . . this is me stepping far, far outside of my comfort zone!! Hehehe! Now . . . please pop on over to Mo's DP2 Challenge Blog and check out the fabulous projects by Kim and the rest of my talented DT sisters! Then, please join us for this week's challenge. It's simple, really, just pull out your craft supplies and at least one Mo Manning image . . . and let the crafting begin!

Oh . . . and don't forget, Mo is awarding (selected at random) one $5.00 shopping spree at her online store for every 25 challenge participants!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs . . . until next time . . . .

Un-FROG-ettable at the Sugar Bowl . . .

Hey there my lovelies! So . . . do you know what day it is? Well, besides being Thursday, it's Sugar Bowl Challenge Thursday!! And our very clever Maria Therese has given us this fabulous sketch to follow . . . .

And, our theme for this fortnight's challenge is to use . . . wait for it . . .

KRAFT PAPER!

Now, some of my dear friends do an incredible job coloring on kraft paper . . . not me, tho! hehehe! So, I decided I'd just use kraft paper in other ways . . . what'cha think?

I chose this adorable little Sugar Nellie stamp called "Pippi Longsocks." (I think I used her a few weeks ago too . . . she and her little frog friend just seemed perfect for my papers!) Pippi is from the Fairy Glen Collection of Home Grown stamps, and you can find her HERE at Funky Kits! I added a fun Melissa Frances "tag and bag" with a "hidden" sentiment . . . .

Here's a bit of a side view . . . .

Alrighty then, it's time to pop on over to the Sugar Bowl and take a peek at all the gorgeous "Kraft Paper" creations by my fellow DT Sweeties. Then, come join us for this fortnight's challenge! One lucky participant will be randomly selected to win a fabulous prize from Sugar Nellie. Once again, our prize for this Sugar Bowl Challenge is . . . .

. . . . your choice of FOUR Sugar Nellie stamps
(increasing to SIX if we have 100+ entries!) . . . .

Remember. . . you can't win if you don't play!!

"Out of the Ordinary" at the Sugar Bowl...

Happy Thursday and welcome to this fortnight's Sugar Bowl Challenge! Before we get started, though, I just wanted to say - for those of you who celebrate Thanksgiving - I hope yours was fabulous!! We've had our fill of turkey and pumpkin pie, that's for sure!! Deeelish! And now it's time to really get serious about Christmas!! Sooooo...with that in mind, you'd think I'd have a Christmas card to show you today...but, nope, I don't!! Hehehe!!

Cathy, my delightfully talented fellow DT "Sweetie," Cathy, has given us this wonderful sketch to follow...

...and our theme is...

"Out of the Ordinary"
(as in..."do something you wouldn't normally do")

Well...it didn't take long to decide what I was going to do!! You see...I've been admiring my friend 's artwork for the longest time!! Dorcas uses pencils (Prismacolor and Lyras) to color on kraft paper! And, let me tell ya, her work is exquisite!! So...this was the perfect opportunity for me to try out coloring on kraft paper!! After numerous emails to my talented and most patient friend, Dorcas...and after studying her tutorials on coloring with pencils - available on her blog HERE, I just got busy!! What'cha think?!

I chose this cute little Sugar Nellie stamp called "Peek-a-boo"." Adorable, right?! This darlin' comes from Sugar Nellie's "Home Grown Collection" and you can find her HERE at Funky Kits! Here's a close-up...

I will admit...I was fretting up a storm while I was coloring this cutie patootie! Despite my research, this is the very FIRST time I actually ever put pencil to kraft paper!! I will admit...I'm pretty tickled with the results...and am definitely going to try this again and again! Thanks, Dorcas! You rock, sistah!!

Here's my simple little card "recipe"...
Cardstock: kraft paper & DCWV Neutrals
DPS: DCWV: Playtime Kraft Collection
Flower punches: Nellie Snelles
Brads, dies, & jute: stash
Paper crimper
Sentiment stamp: Stampin' Up
Prismacolor pencils

And one last view...

Okey dokey, my darlins...it's time to pop on over to the Sugar Bowl and take a peek at the beautiful projects made by my fellow DT Sweeties. Then, pull out your art supplies and get busy creating your own card or project for this fortnight's challenge! One lucky participant will be randomly selected to win a fabulous prize from Sugar Nellie. Once again, our prize for this Sugar Bowl Challenge is....

...your choice of FOUR Sugar Nellie stamps
(increasing to SIX if we have 100+ entries!)...

You will definitely want to invite your friends to play along!! Thank you so much for visiting...and for your very sweeeeeet comments! They really do make my day! Hugs...until next time....
