Birthday BLAST

Hey friends!! Yep . . . I'm still around!! But, after 7 years on Mo Manning's Design Teams, I made the very difficult decision to resign my position. I want to thank Mo and my fellow Dream Teamies for a most remarkable 7 years!!! No question in my mind . . . Mo and her Dream Team are THE BEST!!!

So . . . what have I been up to?! Traveling to Arizona to watch some Spring Training baseball and to hang with 6 of our 8 grandkiddos!! Oh, and my husband and I are in the middle of simplifying and "downsizing" as we prepare to retire and relocate to South Carolina the beginning of next year!! We are overwhelmed with all that has to be done before we can move . . . but we're also craaaazy excited about this new journey of ours!!

Ya know what, though? Making art and making cards are in my blood!!! Here's my newest card creation . . .
Our sweet grandson Henry just celebrated his 4th birthday!!! So I made this for him using a digi image from Mo Manning's collection called "Blast" . . . available HERE in Mo's online store! Here's a close-up of this little cutie . . .
 And a side view . . .
 A peek at the inside . . .

"Summertime" at Mo's!

Hap-hap-happy Thursday, my lovelies!! Hope your week is going well! I've been busy . . . although I can't, for the life of me, figure out what I've been busy with! hehe! Laundry and cleaning and, oh, right, hanging out in my studio making art!! That last one is my favorite thing to be doing!! hehe! Hey . . . speaking of studios and making art . . . it's time for a new challenge at Mo's DP2 Challenge Blog! The very lovely and talented Kat is our hostess this week . . . and she's chosen a fabulous theme . . .

"Summer's Coming"

And here's what I came up with . . .
OK . . . I know that most people think of swimming and playing outdoors in the sun when they think of Summer! Well . . . what about ladybugs? The come out in the Summer, right? hehe! Oh, alright . . . I confess, I just HAD to color this new image by Mo Manning!! I love her!! Here's a close-up . . .
Allow me to introduce "Baby Fairy Ladybug". Isn't she the cutest little thing you ever did see? You can find her HERE in Mo's online store.

Now, instead of a card, I decided to shake things up a bit and try something a little different. And, as luck would have it, I found this cute little red & white polka dot notebook while rummaging through my craft supplies recently! I just added a bit of black cardstock, some ribbon, and a few embellies . . . and VOILA!!
 My Project "Recipe" . . .
Image printed on Cryogen Matallic White paper
Black cardstock: Stampin' Up
Corner die: Whimsy
Ribbon, ladybugs, fabric flower, & pearls: My stash
White Frantage (I love this stuff!)
Copics & Colored pencils

And last, but not least . . .
So, there ya have it . . .a fun little notebook that's perfect as an address book or for jotting down "Summer" plans! Please stop on over at Mo's DP2 Challenge Blog to check out the stunning "Summer" projects created by Kat and the rest of my talented DT sisters! Then, please join us for this week's challenge. It's simple really! Just pull out your craft supplies and at least one Mo Manning image and let the creating begin!!

Oh . . . and don't forget, Mo is awarding (selected at random) one $5.00 shopping spree at her online store for every 25 challenge participants!

Sooooo . . . that's it for me! Thanks so much for stopping by . . . and for leaving such sweet comments! Hugs . . .

It's "Summer" over at Sassy Cheryl's

Yep . . . I checked the calendar . . . it's officially Summer on my side of the Equator!! And, guess what else? It's definitely Summer over at Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Blog! That's right . . . our sweet and sassy DT sistah, Dawn, has chosen for this week's theme . . . . wait for it . . .

Summer!

Easy peasy!! Summer means "beach" to me! So I decided to pull out an older (actually, we "old" folks prefer the term "vintage") Sassy Cheryl image called "A Crabby Surprise" for this week's "Summer" card!! This is another of my FAVORITE Sassy Cheryl images . . . she definitely looks "vintage-y" to me . . . in fact, come to think of it, she kinda looks like me when I was a little critter! No wonder I think she's so cute! hehe! Oh, oh, oooh . . .  and, guess what? I just checked Sassy Cheryl's store and, as luck would have it, this image is available HERE in the $2.00 Bargain Bin! How cooooool is that?!

My card "recipe" . . .
