I'm thinkin' SPRING!!

Happy Monday!! Hope you had a GREAT weekend!! Mine was nice . . . just hung around the house, chillaxin' with my hubby . . . working on some art . . . and doing a little card-making!! I tell ya . . . does it get better than that?!

So . . . since I'm pretty much OVER winter and snow and cold, I decided to pull out some Spring colors and make a little Easter card! What'cha think?
This cute little image of Maddie is called "My Little SNUGGLE Bunny" and is available HERE in Sassy Cheryl's online store! Here's a close-up . . .
So . . . here's the deal on this one . . . I had originally intended for this to be the cleanest and simplest card ever! BUT . . . when I was completely done with it, I noticed a teensy little spot of something in the white area . . . it may have been a flaw in the paper . . . but it didn't look right!! Sooooo . . . I pulled out some sticky pearls . . . and voila!! Crisis averted! Here's a side view . . .
And . . . one more angled view . . .
So, there ya go . . . that's what I've been up to!! Just a quick reminder . . . there's a super cool challenge going on right now over at Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Blog . . . be sure to check it out!! You may win 2 free Sassy Cheryl digis!!

Thanks for stopping by . . . see you soon!!

Easter Parade at Sassy Cheryl's!

Hey there kiddos! Thanks so much for all the great "Southern Speak" suggestions for my little 6 year-old grandbaby, Sophie! I think it's time she started calling her mom and dad, "mama" and "daddy" . . . each spoken with at least 4 syllables! That'll be so cute! hehe! Oh, and get this . . . Sophie told me tonight, "Gramma, I think I get my good coloring talent from you." Bwahaha! I told Soph that she's far more talented than Gramma ever could hope to be! And it's true!

So now, my lovelies, let's talk about this week's challenge over at Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Blog! Our sweet and bubbly and oh so talented Miz Judy is our hostess this week . . . and here's what she's chosen for this week's challenge theme . . .

Easter Parade!

Hmmmmm . . . bunnies and bonnets and eggs, Oh my!! hehe! And here's my "sassy"  DT card for this week . . .

This card features one of Sassy Cheryl 's images from last year! She's called "I wanna be a bunny (girl)"! And, get this . . . even though she's been "retired" from Sassy Cheryl's store, she's available for purchase right now . . . and she'll remain in Cheryl's store until April 2nd . . . for just $2.00! Whoohoo!! I just love her "sassy" attitude, don't you?! So, don't dawdle, ok?! If you want this little cutie patootie for your own digi image collection, you can find her HERE!  Here's a side view . . .

Oh, I have to tell ya . . . in the black &white digi image, I think those lines at the bottom are s'posed to be long blades of grass . . . but I magically transformed them into colored Easter eggs (or big colored boulders! bwahaha!) . . . which left one lone, long blade of grass! I have no idea what I was thinking . . . except I kinda like the big "eggs" on the ground! Hey . . . work with me here! It's art! hehehe!

LACE!

Ahem . . . normally I use lace all the time. This week, though, I completely spaced out and forgot to add lace. So, no worries . . . I just added a bit o' lace to my flower arrangement! Not much ya can't fix with a hot glue gun, some lace, and a flower! Hehehe!! So glad I caught that! So . . . here's my little "lace" adorned card . . .

Now, this card features a somewhat older Mo Manning image . . . but I tell ya, I love, love, LOVE it! This image is called "Bella and the Easter "Bronte." Poor Bronte . . . he just looks like he's saying, "Somebody, pleeeeeeease save me!" LOL!! You can find this adorable image HERE at Mo's online store. Here's a bit of a side view where you can REALLY see the lace!

Once again this week I would like to thank my dear friend and DT sistah, Paola!! She sent me a package with all kinds of  fabulous "goodies" from South Africa . . . including these scrumptious DPs!
