We're going "Back to School" at Mo's!

Hellooooooo!! It's time for another fun challenge over at Mo's DP2 Challenge Blog!! And my sweet and talented DT sistah, Tracy, is our hostess for this challenge! And she's chosen the theme . . .

"Back to School!"

Timely, huh? Especially since kids are all getting ready to head back to classes! So here's my little creation . . .
This cutie is "Erasmus" and she's available right HERE in Mo's online store!! I just love her choppy little hairdo!! And those big ol' feet crack me up every time!! Here's a side view . . .
This is my very first time EVER using Inktense pencils!! I have to admit, I definitely need more practice . . . but I love, love, LOVE them! Instead of coloring directly onto the paper, as some artists do, I decided to wet the paper slightly and then pick up pigment with my damp paintbrush directly from the pencil tip! I seem to have a bit more control that way!! Next time I'll have to wet the background a bit more and then quickly lay down pigment to get a more even application!!

Nana's Nearly Ninety-Five!

Happy Thursday!! Whoa! Can you believe it's August already? I don't want to even think about getting ready for Christmas yet . . . at least not until I get a chance to spend some quality time at the beach! haha!! Soooo . . . it's time for another challenge at Mo's DP2 Challenge Blog!! Wheet whooo! And our very lovely and talented Miz Elaine is hostess for this challenge! And she's chosen a fun, fun, FUN theme . . .

"Happy Birthday . . . for a Girl!"

OK . . . so here's the deal . . . my amaaaaazing mother-in-law will be 95 years young the first week in October!! So, I decided to start the celebration a little early!! What'cha think?

I just realized . . . I'm sort of in a red, white, blue, & yellow mood these days. Well . . . it's a milestone and a major celebration . . . so I think these colors fit!! This twisted easel card features one of Mo Manning's recently created little cuties called July!! You can find her HERE in Mo's online store!!

Here's a peek at the little tag . . .
